HP launched a tech preview of HP Anyware* for VMware Horizon with PCoIP® Ultra performance today. The highly anticipated feature will enable VMware Horizon to broker connectivity to HP Anyware within their Horizon environment, allowing Horizon and Trusted Zero Client users to leverage world-class remoting performance.
The collaboration between HP Anyware and VMware provides additional options and flexibility to the VMware ecosystem, including access to the latest PCoIP Ultra performance features, to meet the needs of the most demanding graphics-intensive applications. HP Anyware also gives users the ability to remote their preferred operating systems (Windows®, macOS® and Linux®), collaborate and share a desktop in real-time from anywhere, as well as peripheral compatibility, such as Wacom tablets, and flexibility around cloud, workstations, hybrid, and virtual deployments. For IT decision makers, the ability to leverage the cloud-based VMware Horizon Control Plane as single management plane for both productivity and high-performance users is a significant benefit that simplifies provisioning and image management.

PCoIP technology delivers truly lossless support with bit-exact color accuracy and preservation of content detail, vital in many industries such as media & entertainment, architecture, engineering & construction, healthcare, manufacturing & design, and oil & gas. Unlike other protocols, PCoIP uses precise build-to-lossless capability to deliver the highest frame rates, even at 4K/UHD resolution, without greedy bandwidth consumption.
Secure endpoints are another area of collaboration for HP and VMware. We’re working together to add support for VMware Horizon with its Blast protocol, providing the hardened security value that existing Tera2 zero client customers enjoy in the latest zero client architecture. Next-generation Trusted Zero Clients, based on PCoIP technology and managed by the Anyware Trust Center, are available now from partners, including 10ZiG. Trusted Zero Clients provide a new level of Zero Trust device security to improve cybersecurity posture and build a foundation for corporate-wide trusted digital workspaces. Support for VMware Horizon will be added later this year.
