Teradici and Microsoft Collaborate to Enable Automated Deployment of Windows VMs for Game Creators to Work Remotely

With the rise of hybrid working models, companies across all industries need to be able to provide a secure, productive remote work experience for employees that feels just like being in the office or studio. For game developers, it’s essential to have a flexible remote work solution that enables creators to access their game development tools from anywhere, without compromising on performance.

Microsoft and Teradici have partnered to deliver a solution that supports in-office, remote and hybrid game creatives everywhere and anywhere, on any device, using Microsoft Azure, the cloud with more datacenter regions around the world than any other cloud provider, and Teradici CAS, the most secure and high-quality remote desktop experience.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Teradici to deliver tools, services, and support to game creators across the world,” said James Gwertzman, General Manager for Gaming Cloud at Microsoft. “Remote work capabilities are increasingly important for game developers, and the combination of Microsoft Azure and Teradici CAS provides a high-fidelity, low-latency end-user experience that's ideal for artists and other creators, and which will unlock 'in-studio' levels of productivity from anywhere.”

The solution enables automated deployment of Windows Virtual Machines (VMs), connecting to your choice of NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. It’s a pre-built desktop image that includes Microsoft Visual Studio for coding work, Blender, and Visual Studio App Center for mobile gaming.

  • Microsoft Visual Studio (BYOL)
  • Xbox game development support
  • Mobile gaming capable (with Visual Studio App Center)
