While there is a lot of buzz around cloud technology and moving applications to the cloud, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show proved that this is especially true for the media and entertainment industry.
On April 22 - 27, the world's largest collection of vendors in this industry gathered in Las Vegas to explore the evolving world of media, entertainment, and technology. The major public cloud vendors were present, each showcasing their own technology and some making big announcements.
Global media technology provider, Avid announced their alliance with Microsoft to develop and market cloud-based solutions and cloud services aimed at the media and entertainment industry. Avid showed remote access to Media Composer video editing tools in a cloud hosted Azure environment as well as an on-premises ESXi based environment, both of which were using Teradici's Cloud Access Platform.

Jeremy emphasized the power of PCoIP technology and Zero Clients, and their ability to allow remote access (in his example, he was working from a plane!) while delivering high quality graphics from the cloud.
