Teradici and VMware go way back in terms of working together to meet some of the earliest customer needs in VDI. Teradici’s PCoIP remote display protocol technology is embedded in VMware Horizon, a leading platform for virtual desktop and applications, with millions of users worldwide. And many OEMs in VMware’s partner ecosystem, such as Dell, HP, and LG Electronics integrate PCoIP technology to bring cost-effective, ultra-secure PCoIP Zero Clients to market for use in VMware Horizon deployments - in the form of standalone devices, all-in-one monitors and laptops.
So, in the latest chapter of our collaboration with VMware, we’re excited to share that Teradici Desktop Access is now designated as Partner Ready for VMware vSphere.
We know that regardless of organization size, IT administrators are seeking to simplify their VDI deployments and the management of PCoIP endpoints for their organization. This is where Teradici Desktop Access can help. With PCoIP Management Console, included with Desktop Access subscription plans, IT administrators can quickly provision new devices, report on inventory, review metrics, configure settings, and schedule firmware updates for endpoints across different regions and time zones. Desktop Access also offers PCoIP Zero Client firmware updates and 24x7 support from Teradici PCoIP experts.
And now the Desktop Access solution is listed on the VMware Solution Exchange. Check out the Solution Exchange as it is an ever-expanding, comprehensive VMware ecosystem marketplace where users can research, evaluate and read reviews of more than 2,500 solutions. In fact, many PCoIP Zero Clients are already listed with the distinguished VMware Ready badge, indicating that they are optimized for VMware.
With this badge, Teradici’s Desktop Access Plan is validated by both Teradici and VMware to be compatible with VMware vSphere. For customers, this provides peace of mind that Teradici has tested and verified that Desktop Access and PCoIP Management Console will function seamlessly with VMware vSphere ESXi in the indicated versioning and configuration, and that Teradici is prepared to provide customer support for the joint solution. Teradici has successfully completed the requirements for VMware Partner Application Software Integration Program to achieve the designation. This involved configuration and testing the performance of the software in VMware’s Learning Platform cloud environment, a ready-to-use validation test bed set up with vCenter and ESXi.
So that’s it! The bottom line for you is that both organizations are serious about the joint solution, its ongoing development, and in ensuring the interoperability and functionality of Teradici’s solution on VMware’s platform.
