Powering Remote Access to Workflows on Verizon 5G Edge with HP Anyware and PCoIP® technology

The demand for video and gaming content has dramatically increased as people have sought entertainment, escapism and social connection in hybrid working environments. HP Anyware and Verizon are collaborating to help creators be more productive, meeting the increasing demand for content.

To demonstrate the difference that Verizon 5G Edge makes to the quality of service (QoS) for distributed media applications like video editing, cloud gaming and video streaming, Verizon deployed HP Anyware on Verizon 5G Edge with AWS Wavelength.

HP Anyware software provides remote desktop access to cloud-based workflows using its proprietary PCoIP remote display protocol technology. Three use cases were tested — 4K video streaming, cloud gaming and video editing — and these were benchmarked for comparison with traditional cloud-based workflows using AWS and accessed using 4G LTE and 5G UW.
