An open letter to Teradici customers, partners, and our community

April 3, 2020

How much the world has changed in a few weeks. Like many of you, we have shifted to working from home, and want to acknowledge the efforts of countless others who do not have the choice to do so - healthcare workers, essential service employees keeping our food on the shelves, our utilities and services running, and essential goods moving across the country to where they’re needed - we are profoundly grateful to all of you.

We are also grateful that in a time that has been so difficult for many businesses, we have been in a unique position to help some of them remain productive, keeping people employed and able to take care of their families while staying at home. This has been happening both on a global scale with large enterprises and in our own backyard, with local Vancouver production studios like Atomic Cartoons, Brown Bag Films, DNEG, Crafty Apes, and Scanline.

Our team members have been working through higher than average levels of demand and support requests from both existing and new customers during this time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we do our best to streamline our processes and serve our customers as quickly as possible. To assist companies looking for solutions to get their employees up and running remotely, we’ve consolidated a set of resources, including articles, videos, webinars, and technical guides into a microsite, designed to provide a comprehensive and informative view of your options for remote work.

Teradici has kept all of its employees on board at full capacity and is, in fact, still hiring. We have several co-op students scheduled to start as planned in May and there are a number of other open positions across several functions, including product development, sales, and business development, listed on our careers page.

Recognizing that we are in the fortunate position of being able to help, we have also made a donation of $35,000 to the British Columbia Center for Disease Control (BCCDC) Foundation for Population and Public Health. Funds will go toward projects in real-time COVID-19 research and in applying the latest research to the development of rapidly evolving public guidelines for healthcare professionals and the public.

Our company values are clear, and I have reinforced them with Teradici employees in our weekly virtual company meetings over the last couple of weeks - the health of our employees, their families, and our community remains our top priority. We extend that to our many friends, partners, and customers as well. Our sincere hope is that you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy. If there’s anything you need, we’re here to help.
