2017 is the year that the Cloud becomes mainstream. It has been estimated that 92% of global data center traffic will come from the cloud by 2020, and yet already we see the cloud becoming the “new normal” when it comes to IT infrastructure.
For the past two years, we have seen forward-thinking organizations go all in on the cloud, while others have adopted an approach that embraces the cloud for only new IT investments. Based on the growing pressures and opportunities of the cloud, we offer the following predictions...

The journey to the cloud isn’t always an easy one. Not all applications or workloads are created equal. For many organizations, delivering the graphically rich user experiences their users require seems an insurmountable challenge.
That’s why we’re excited to announce general availability of Cloud Access Software, the latest evolution of Teradici technology that makes it easier than ever for customers to “lift and shift” even the most demanding, graphics-intensive applications and workloads into the cloud.
Organizations have been considering the cloud for the past several years, with increased awareness of its benefits, which include business agility, improved data management and employee productivity. Despite its many obvious draws, organizations have struggled with the reality of migrating desktops, workstations, applications and workflows to the cloud. The uncertainty about transitioning applications and workload performance have stalled many cloud initiatives.
