Teradici
Teradici is the creator of the PCoIP remoting protocol technology and Cloud Access Software, the leading solution for a cloud-ready future. The company, founded in 2004, is focused on its core mission of seamless delivery of workstations and applications for end-users.
AWS surely outdid itself once again with its re:Invent 2018 a few weeks back. Whether you were a cloud novice or experienced cloud user attending, this event had something for everyone by offering hands-on learning experiences, exciting product launches, an expo hall, and Q&A access to AWS and industry experts. With over 450 workshops, there is no doubt the topics of cloud and cloud services are complex and multi-faceted.
One of the many highlights for us included Qumulo’s demo. Cloud Access Software was behind-the-scenes supporting their highly-scalable file storage system that is compatible with AWS to enable creative teams to collaborate efficiently, provide secure access to their work, and scale their infrastructure costs effectively. No longer are the days of clunky, time-wasting activities of copying and pasting files and applications to and from on-premises data centers and cloud storage systems. The trio of solutions here offer secure virtual workstations, storage, and cloud working together.
Teradici PCoIP solutions were also featured in an LG demonstration and several workshops, providing secure remoting capabilities for virtual workstation “bursting”, remote desktop deployments, and seamless end-user experiences with graphics-intensive data stored in the cloud. Below is a recap of these presentations.
1. Scale your studio: Rendering with Spot and Deadline on AWS
Featuring speakers from AWS ThinkBox and FuseFX, this workshop set out to help studios learn how they can scale their rendering pipeline to near-limitless capacity.

2. Hands-On: Deploy Remote Graphics Desktops for Content Production
This interactive workshop shared how using a hybrid environment (on-premises and cloud) along Teradici PCoIP technology has enabled media and entertainment companies to hire talent worldwide and securely deliver virtual workstations without comprising data security. The presentation also explored the technical schema and architecture involving Windows and Linux workstations.

3. Studio in the Cloud: Producing Content on AWS
View real-world examples of VFX studio pipelines and architecture being used to produce some of the most popular, award-winning content for the big and small screen.
