HP Anyware team
HP Anyware is the enterprise software that IT needs to keep people and teams productive with secure access to their digital workspaces from any mix of infrastructure (cloud, data center, edge, workstation) and end-user device (PC, Mac, laptop, tablet, thin and zero client), anywhere.
In the hybrid environment we now work in, Game Development needs to be agile and responsive, no matter where developers are working from.
There's good news for developers because game development in the cloud just got easier! Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5 (UE5), the open and advanced real-time 3D creation tool, can now be used with HP Anyware, the flexible, collaborative and productive digital workspaces solution, on AWS Marketplace.
New game development features from Unreal Engine 5
UE5 enables game developers and creators across industries to realize next-generation real-time 3D content and experiences with greater freedom, fidelity, and flexibility than ever before. UE5 is also compatible with Windows Server 2022 and continues to release exciting new features that help developers bring realistic interactive experiences to life with groundbreaking new features like Nanite and Lumen that provide a generational leap in visual fidelity, and enable worlds to be fully dynamic.
Nanite enables game developers to directly import and replicate multi-million-polygon meshes without dropping framerates. In fact, game developers can maintain a real-time frame rate of even 60 fps without fidelity loss.
And with Lumen, a fully dynamic global illumination and reflections solution, developers can create indirect lighting using Lumen that can be adapted on the fly, and you can see what the final product will look like in the editor.
HP Anyware offers game developers security and productivity
HP Anyware is based on PC-over-IP (PCoIP®) technology and provides developers with high-performance options, including audio/video sync, whether they’re working in the office, at home, or in a client’s conference room. PCoIP’s low latency, color-accuracy and text clarity make HP Anyware a powerful solution for graphics-intensive use cases.
Additionally, PCoIP has stringent security protocols built in—all PCoIP traffic has AES 256-encryption. Since PCoIP is a remote display protocol, business data never leaves the data center. HP Anyware streams game development content from the host server to the client end-point, so your intellectual property isn’t open to threats.
The link for HP Anyware and Unreal Engine 5 on AWS Marketplace makes deploying the game development solution that much easier. Use Cloud Formation Templates to seamlessly install applications for an Unreal Engine 5 instance over your base image and streamline your deployment in the cloud. Using the template helps users have all their most used game tools and utilities for their workflow available in a single step.
Unreal developers can further streamline deployment for their most used developer tools with HP Anyware and UE5. The Cloud Formation Templates include quick start guides and visual studios for the following tools:
- Perforce Client Tools (P4V)
- Visual Studio 2020 Community
- Google Chrome browser
- JetBrains Rider
- Git
- 7zip
- Notepad Plus
HP Anyware simplifies access to UE5 in the cloud
Now that HP Anyware and Unreal Engine 5 are available on AWS Marketplace, game developers can enjoy easier access to the content they are building from wherever they work best. All a developer needs are their end-point device and a network connection to start creating impressive worlds.
Learn how to create HP Anyware Unreal Engine 5 instances for game development. You can download HP Anyware for Unreal Engine 5 on the AWS Marketplace.
