October 4, 2021
HP Teradici

HP Teradici is the inventor of the PCoIP remote display protocol and develops the Engineering Emmy-Award-winning HP Anyware (formerly Teradici CAS) to deliver the best virtual and remote desktop experience in the world.

It’s official: HP Inc. Completes Acquisition of Teradici!

So, what’s in store for Teradici technology and our more than 15 million users worldwide? Big, big things, because the world is shifting to hybrid work and, together with HP, we’re focused on delivering new compute models and services to help businesses make it happen.

Teradici is Still Here for You

We love our customers and partners and appreciate all you PCoIP fans out there reaching out to find out what this news might mean for our future. We’re excited to join HP, and the future is bright for our customers, partners and the Teradici team! HP is committed to growing Teradici’s innovation and partnerships, and together we can scale our technology faster and help even more companies integrate hybrid working models that delight their employees and are good for business.

Teradici products and the Teradici brand will remain intact as part of the HP acquisition. In fact, Teradici will maintain its brand while becoming an offering within the HP portfolio, and our own David Smith (Teradici CEO) is staying onboard as global head and general manager of Teradici at HP.

Technology that Makes Hybrid Work, Work

As hybrid work becomes the norm, 67% of the workforce is expected to work remotely at least three days a week, according to HP Internal CMI Research, 2021. This is the largest cultural shift in our generation. Check out some of the Teradici team’s views about the workplace of the future.

HP sees tremendous value in Teradici’s remote access innovation and Teradici CAS software. The acquisition will enhance HP’s capabilities in the Personal Systems category by delivering new compute models and services tailored for the rapidly growing hybrid workforce.

“This deal supports our broader strategy to innovate at the heart of hybrid by creating new computing experiences, services and subscriptions that meet changing customer needs and drive profitable growth.”
- Alex Cho, president, Personal Systems, HP Inc.

“We are delighted to officially welcome the incredibly talented Teradici team to HP,” said Alex Cho, president, Personal Systems, HP Inc. “This deal supports our broader strategy to innovate at the heart of hybrid by creating new computing experiences, services and subscriptions that meet changing customer needs and drive profitable growth.”

Teradici CAS and HP ZCentral Remote Boost Become BFFs

As businesses have discovered when evaluating remoting solutions, each of them has valuable, differentiated capabilities in their respective target areas—it’s not a coincidence that we both won Engineering Emmy Awards in 2020! Teradici is the gold standard for deploying platform-agnostic, high-performance, secure and seamless remote computing experiences anywhere, even from the cloud and Mac, which is a perfect complement to HP’s leadership in personal computing and providing remote access to physical workstations.

That’s why both Teradici CAS and HP ZCentral Remote Boost will continue to be offered and developed. In fact, an integrated subscription—offering customers the best of both—will be available for purchase by the end of 2021.

Over time, the goal is to provide solutions with additional features and functionalities and an even better user experience. Check out the HP FAQ if you want to learn more.
