HP Teradici
HP Teradici is the inventor of the PCoIP remote display protocol and develops the Engineering Emmy-Award-winning HP Anyware (formerly Teradici CAS) to deliver the best virtual and remote desktop experience in the world.
We are excited to introduce the Founder and CEO of Stratodesk, Emanuel Pirker. Emanuel has been a leader in the VDI and EUC space for decades. Since 2010, he has been building Stratodesk into the industry leader it is today, with offices and employees around the world, including the United States, the UK, Austria, and Moscow.
Tell me a little about Stratodesk and what you do for your customers.
Emanuel Pirker is visionary, and a forward thinking, exceptional software architect, intimately involved with the operations of Stratodesk, and he remains the key strategic product development leader. In addition to his role at Stratodesk, Emanuel is an avid mountaineer, adventurer, pilot, husband and father. |
Stratodesk is the first software-only EUC company. Our proprietary software, Stratodesk NoTouch, is a Linux-based, minimal footprint, managed operating system for VDI, DaaS and IoT endpoints.
Stratodesk NoTouch Center (management) and Stratodesk NoTouch OS (operating system) together are the leading thin client endpoint software letting organizations transform any PC, thin client, laptop or Raspberry Pi device into a secure and centrally managed VDI/DaaS endpoint.
As the founder and CEO of Stratodesk, I’ve had the privilege of seeing the company grow over the last ten years and achieve incredible firsts thanks to our consistent focus on innovation and our customers, which make up the DNA of our company.
Our ability to be extremely agile has enabled us to be at the forefront of our industry – pushing innovation and change for the better year after year. We were the first software-only thin client solution. We were the first to run on the Raspberry Pi and make it enterprise grade. We were the first to integrate multi-platform into our ecosystem – our software being able to run on and manage both x86/x64 and ARM-based devices within the same deployment.
Our ability to be extremely agile has enabled us to be at the forefront of our industry
More recently, we have unveiled a new generation of Stratodesk NoTouch. This newest release includes the first self-provisioned thin client management solution available within the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, role based access controls (RBAC), Multi-Factor Authentication, and incredible integrations with a massive conglomeration of technology partners.
Thanks to these innovations, and indeed our ability to stay on the pulse of innovation in EUC, Stratodesk NoTouch allows the security-minded CIO to keep a diverse fleet of endpoints in check.
And, our innovation for our customers doesn’t stop there. In the era of dispersed workforces, work-from-home and return-to-office are not mutually exclusive. Based on Zero Trust principles, Stratodesk provides ease of management and peace of mind. Our innovation never stops.
Can you tell us about your partnerships in the thin client space?
Stratodesk has a wide conglomeration of technology integrations and hardware partners, where together, we’re able to solve any use case facing enterprise IT.
For this reason, we also have a dedicated partnership program called Stratodesk PLUS.
Not only does Stratodesk PLUS offer unique benefits to our partners, it gives our joint customers assurance that the device and software integration are certified ready for Stratodesk NoTouch, and vice versa.
We have done incredible work with our hardware partners including Atrust, Lenovo, LG, among others, delivering truly secure, affordable devices to businesses around the globe. We also have a strong partnership with Amulet Hotkey, and our software comes prepackaged on their devices directly out of the box.
Why did Stratodesk choose to work with Teradici?
We pride ourselves on working as closely as possible with the EUC, VDI and DaaS technology leaders, so our joint customers can rest assured their clients will be always up to date when they access them.
Teradici is no exception. We have partnered with Teradici for years to enable Stratodesk NoTouch deployments to seamlessly connect with Teradici CAS and Amazon Workspaces, a cloud desktop service that uses PCoIP protocol technology.
With Teradici CAS, Stratodesk customers are able to connect to virtual desktops and deliver a remote workstation experience to end users with the combined and hardened security benefits of Stratodesk NoTouch endpoint computing and Teradici PCoIP technology.
What makes the Stratodesk and Teradici combination so compelling?
As we all know, workers today are getting their jobs done not only at home and in the office, but also anywhere else that’s convenient to them. And it’s not just workers that want more flexibility. In fact, a recent study found that 9 out of 10 executives expect to have a remote work plan in place.
With so many companies returning to the office part time, and hybrid work becoming the buzzword of 2021 (and undoubtedly remaining that way into 2022), enterprises are going to need effective interoperable solutions to make this possible.
And it’s not just workers that want more flexibility. In fact, a recent study found that 9 out of 10 executives expect to have a remote work plan in place.
This is where the Stratodesk and Teradici combination is so incredibly valuable.
Teradici has a history of innovation. As the inventors of PCoIP, they have long set the standard for delivering virtual desktops and an end-user experience that is rich regardless of the user’s location. Stratodesk is also an innovator, and our ability to power, secure and manage any VDI and Cloud device anywhere in the world is an ideal fit for Teradici technology.
Optimized to deliver Teradici PCoIP Ultra features for seamless packet transfer delivered to endpoint hardware with Stratodesk NoTouch means you can have the same EUC experience of a Mac or PC at a fraction of the power consumed.
Additionally, Stratodesk NoTouch with Teradici enables high-end content creators or graphics-intensive users to reduce power consumption. Historically, to handle this sort of content it would have taken massive computer demands (upwards of 500-1000+ WATT consumption). With Stratodesk NoTouch Cloud, you can enable this experience at any time, wherever your users need or choose to be.
Stratodesk NoTouch converted thin clients, with Teradici PCoIP included, are compatible with Teradici CAS deployed in private data centers, AWS (including Amazon WorkSpaces), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
What parting comments would you have for Teradici Blog readers?
Teradici is a key Stratodesk partner, and I encourage anyone interested in how the solutions can help them to try out our 20 minute demo with one of our sales professionals. On the other hand, if you are a technology leader and you are interested in seeing how your solution could work productively with Stratodesk, we encourage you to apply to Stratodesk PLUS.
Also, my fascination with technology is as great today as it was all those years ago when I entered the EUC space, and I welcome any fresh new ideas from your readers – whether that be feedback about what we are doing, or more. The best way to connect with me is to follow me on LinkedIn or on Twitter.
