HP Teradici

HP Teradici is the inventor of the PCoIP remote display protocol and develops the Engineering Emmy-Award-winning HP Anyware (formerly Teradici CAS) to deliver the best virtual and remote desktop experience in the world.

Teradici today announced it has been named a Media & Communications Finalist for the 2020 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

"Teradici has implemented a number of initiatives over the last year to broaden and deepen support for Microsoft Azure and to meet the needs of our joint customers in the media and entertainment industry. We are honored and delighted to be recognized for these efforts by Microsoft in this year’s Partner of the Year Awards."

“It is an honor to recognize the winners and finalists of the 2020 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards. These partners go above and beyond, delivering timely solutions that solve the complex challenges that businesses around the world face – from communicating and collaborating virtually to helping customers realize their full potential with Azure cloud services, and beyond. I am proud to honor and congratulate each winner and finalist.”

- Gavriella Schuster, corporate vice president, One Commercial Partner, Microsoft

Adding Teradici technology to Microsoft Azure improves performance and usability for M&E customers

In 2019, Teradici attained Microsoft Gold Competency as an ISV, application developer, data analytics and platform-capable provider in the Microsoft One Commercial Partner (OCP) program. We have worked closely with Microsoft over the last several years to provide our joint customers with exceptional flexibility and support.

For many customers in the media and entertainment industry, the integration of Teradici PCoIP technology into their Microsoft Azure or Azure Stack deployments has been key to ensuring their artists have the performance, resolution, color accuracy, and access to the resources they need to be productive. This became especially important as they shifted workers home over the last several months to comply with public health guidelines

Teradici Cloud Access Software provides high-performance remote visualization capabilities in Microsoft Azure instances to deliver an exceptional user experience for even the most graphics-intensive applications and workloads. The PCoIP protocol delivers a rich and lossless experience across all network conditions and augments the wide global availability of Microsoft Azure.

In addition, for users of graphics and video editing software, PCoIP technology ensures their applications provide the color fidelity and resolution needed to maintain the highest level of production. In fact, the use of Teradici PCoIP technology is recommended by Adobe for customers using Adobe Creative Cloud video applications in Microsoft Azure. PCoIP technology is also built into Avid | Edit on Demand, a SaaS offering made possible by a strategic alliance between Avid and Microsoft. Avid | Edit on Demand is enabling some of the world’s largest media companies to move film and television workflows to the cloud.

Teradici has also collaborated with Microsoft and AMD to expand the options for implementing virtual desktops with GPU support. Recently, we announced that Teradici Cloud Access Software supports Microsoft Azure NVv4, which uses AMD Radeon Infinity MI25 Accelerator and 2nd Gen AMD EPYC processors to offer full GPU access for those whose applications perform better with a GPU. This enables Azure customers to share GPU resources as needed, providing a flexible, cost-effective option for virtual desktop and workstation users.

Recognizing that some customers prefer to implement on-premises or hybrid solutions, Teradici has extended its Cloud Access Software support to include Azure Stack. Organizations looking to fast-track and simplify their cloud migration to Azure or support a mix of hybrid and on-premises environments can leverage Cloud Access Software to make it easy and seamless. Teradici Cloud Access Software is the first third-party virtual desktop solution available for use on Microsoft Azure Stack, providing close integration and management with Azure for deployment flexibility in a hybrid cloud environment with the benefits of PCoIP protocol and central management through Cloud Access Manager.
